Marco Kelly, Director of Road Maintenance Services

Mr. Kelly studied Mineral Technology, specializing in Mining Operations, at the Collège de l’Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

His professional career began in 1994 as an Underground Surveyor and Supervisor at the Eastmain Mine, north of Chibougamau. In the early 2000s, he transitioned from underground mining to open-pit mining when he joined Québec Cartier Mining in Fermont, northern Québec.

Between 2002 and 2021, Mr. Kelly spent much of his career working internationally, primarily in open-pit mining operations in several countries, including Mali, Burkina Faso, Gabon and Sudan. During this period, he held various management positions, including General Foreman, Mining Operations Manager, General Manager and Director of Operations.

He returned to Québec in 2022 to take on the role of Director of Mining Operations at ArcelorMittal, a position he held until January 2026. Mr. Kelly joined SDBJ in July 2026 as Director of Road Maintenance Services.
