Airport La Grande Riviere can accommodate aircraft 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The airport has a runway 13-31 oriented. It is paved and equipped with lighted. Taxiways A and B lead to the public ramp on the north side. The airport can be operated in VFR and IFR. The landing minimums are 1000 ‘(361’) 1.1 / 4 nautical mile. It is equipped with an NDB, VOR DME and two GPS approaches.
Nav Canada operates twenty-four (24) hours per day flight service station (FSS) integrated into the terminal. For authorizations require special procedures or conditions, the staff of the FSS forwards requests to airport managers. The procedures and responsibilities of FSS are also identified in the emergency response plan and procedures for access and control to the maneuvering area and traffic. Track conditions reports are available twenty-four (24) hours per day.
The airport of La Grande-Rivière is operated in accordance with standards specified in the document – Aerodrome Standards and Recommended Practices (TP 312E) (March 93 Fourth Edition) as they exist at the time of issuance of an airport certificate and account Given all the conditions specified therein by Transport Canada. In addition, the airport is fulfilling its legal obligations established by Transport Canada. The airport is inspected daily at frequencies established to ensure aviation safety.
